How much do Facebook ads cost? There’s no fixed price list: Meta sells impressions in an auction, so the same budget can bring dozens of leads in one industry and barely a handful in another. Still, we can give you real rate ranges from campaigns we run in Poland, and show you how to work out a budget for your own business.

How much do Facebook ads cost: rates in 2026

From the campaigns we run in Poland, here are approximate 2026 rates, converted to euros:

  • Cost per click (CPC): usually about €0.12 to €0.70, with expensive industries like finance and insurance running a euro or more higher.
  • Cost per thousand impressions (CPM): roughly €3.50 to €10.50, depending on the campaign objective and audience.
  • Cost per lead (CPL): from a few euros up to about €47, depending on the industry and the quality of your form.

These are approximate ranges. Your own rates depend on your industry, the season, your audience, and above all the quality of your ad.

What drives the cost of your ads

  • Campaign objective. Reach campaigns are cheaper per impression; lead and sales campaigns cost more, but get you closer to revenue.
  • Competition for the same audience. Rates go up before holidays and during Black Friday.
  • Your creative. An ad that people actually watch and click gets better prices from the algorithm.
  • Measurement. The Pixel and Conversions API let Meta find people who actually leave their contact details.

What budget to start with

Technically, you can switch on a campaign for a few euros a day. But for the algorithm to collect enough data and start optimizing, our experience running campaigns in Poland shows you typically need at least around €100 to €200 a month for a local business, and €470 to €700 a month for online stores and sales campaigns.

A better approach is to work backward:

  1. How much is one customer worth to you?
  2. How many leads do you need to land one customer?
  3. How much can you afford to pay per lead for it to be worth it?

If a customer is worth €700 to you, and one in five leads turns into a deal, even €23 per lead would still be a good result.

Ad budget versus management fees

Your total cost has two parts: the budget you pay directly to Meta, and the fee for running the campaigns. At Velocy, we charge a monthly retainer sized to your ad budget, and the ad spend itself stays in your own account. Example: working out a Facebook ads budget

Say a service business wants ten new leads a month, and based on the rates above, a lead in its industry costs around €12. The ad budget would then be about €120 a month, plus some extra for testing creatives. After two or three weeks, you’ll have your own data instead of assumptions, and you can increase the budget or improve the ad.

Frequently asked questions about Facebook ads cost

Does advertising on Instagram cost the same?

Facebook and Instagram campaigns are set up in the same Meta Ads panel and usually run together. The system shifts budget on its own to wherever the ad performs better, so you do not need to decide that manually.

How do you pay for Facebook ads?

Meta charges the card or account linked to your ads manager, usually once you cross a billing threshold or once a month. You set your own daily or total budget, and you can change it at any time.

Why is my ad so expensive?

The most common reasons are a weak creative, an audience that is too narrow, the wrong campaign objective, or no measurement in place. When Meta does not know who leaves their contact details, it optimizes for clicks, and clicks do not always turn into customers. The Conversions API, which sends conversion data from your server, helps with this.

What budget should you start testing with?

To test one offer, it helps to have a budget that can collect several dozen clicks and a handful of leads over two weeks. A smaller amount will not give the algorithm enough data to learn from, and you will not find out whether the campaign works.

Summary

From campaigns we run in Poland, Facebook ads usually cost between €0.12 and €0.70 per click, and between a few euros and about €47 per lead. Instead of asking for a price list, work out how much you can pay for a customer, and set up measurement before you spend your first euro.
